A commissioned logo which was requested to be a phoenix that evoked fluidity

and water.

I sketched out several ideas for a phoenix and toyed around using the “o” in the

word phoenix as a fire “swirl” coming off the tail of the bird.

Ultimately it was a random thought that resulted in sketching out the best

phoenix that was rising in flight with wings that looked like open flames, and a

tail that flowed into a fine point giving directionality to the motion and a fluidity

in a large fiery tail.

Having the phoenix flying over and around a word boxed logo with matching

color gradients married the text and imagery together.
